Sunday Inspirations

With the time change I feel like I am slowing down and not feeling much like apart of any sorta groove, so I sit down to my computer in hopes of finding some form of entertainment. Instead I get a heaping dose of inspiration.

Joey L. is a 19 year old photographer that is simply amazing. I have known of him and his work for about 2 years now. He has done much work in the commercial field taking pictures of celebrities. But this particular day I read his blog and it was inspiring.

Here is the video he posted from his trip to Ethiopia:

The written word is thought provoking, so I encourage you to read it as well.

indyrain.com

I decided it was time to finish indyrain.com, which is my equestrian photography website showcasing my photography for clients, events and personal labors of love.

Below is the latest photo headlining the new redesign. It is actually alot of work but alot of fun atthe same time, taking old photos as well as new ones and doing the post processing work I’ve learned and come to love is really rewarding and a great way to showcase and show how far I’ve come with my photography.

Enjoy Bellas!

Tuki Fashionista

I cannot believe I forgot to post this awhile back. This was my lame attempt at studio lighting on my DIY product table; however even though the lighting is all wrong he still looks like a supermodel! :) I guess I better start practicing again.

The bomber jacket makes him look soo tough! :)

Panorama

I have probably done three of these and none really posted to the blog so I will post this one…I will try and get better at creating these…this is from the back pasture.

I spent the better part of the afternoon sucking up horse poop with the paddock vac, and since I have been trying to take my camera with me everywhere, below is what transpired from today…enjoy!

BTW, these are two seperate photos taken and then photomerged in Photoshop CS4 to become one magnificent photo masterpiece ;p

Stone Islands Rio Grand or “Fat Boy”

Rio was being really cute today when I was taking test shots with the Nikon D90, 18-105mm kit I received in the mail a couple days ago.

Oh yeah, there are a couple of Tuki also being cute! :P

BTW, I will write a full post later on just how I was able to get my grubby lil mitts on the D90 later on this week :)

Inspirations and Light

make awareness! So I decided to reintroduce myself to my bookshelf this weekend and I have been going through my little collection of photography books that teach me and inspire me.

dsc_0003One book that truly sticks out of all books on the 2nd shelf is Joe McNally, “The Moment it Clicks”. I wish this book was available as a pocket sized guide in addition to it’s original format, there is just soo much meat and guts to Joe’s approach and to his photography that it is insane how much talent one person can have to share and might I add so willingly.

I also found the promotional video Nikon put together to support the book, you can just tell how much Joe loves his talent and how important it is in the photographs he shares with everyone in the book.

Enjoy, this truly is one that I will reflect upon time and again.

Plus check out the light setup with all the SB-800′s in the desert shoot below, CRAZY!
