Yay, Ponies!

Took these for The Stillwater Ranch this evening.

My fave the Palomino, Rick’s fave, the paint…but I still love em all.

These little ponies are soo cute and adorable, wish I had ten of them myself!

Special cameo appearances by “Moon” the black mini and Tuki riding shotgun on the quad! :)

Spontaneous Road Trip

This morning Rick awoke to one of his free-spirited lets just get in the truck with all the dogs, grap your camera and enjoy the day kinda mood…

So, we did!

We drove along the beautiful 2 hwy 73 miles east to Leavenworth. Just before then we stopped at the 59er Diner and had burgers, curley fries and onion rings.

The 59er diner is such a great tourist stop, the ladies room is decorated with James Dean and the fellas get to look at Marilyn Monroe when they pee…who could ask for anything more! :)

After lunch we drove a little further to the Lake Wenachtee camp grounds.

What a gorgeous day and the pups had a blast at the lake…

Here are the links to the Lake Wenatchee State Park and the 59er Diner.

All photos at the diner and through the truck windshield were taken with Rick’s Fujifilm Finepix S1000fd 10MP Digital Camera with 12x Optical Zoom.

Girly Spur

or Bear Poop Loop. Whatever you call it it is where we went today on a beautiful horseback trail ride. I wish I had taken the camera. Stay tuned because next trip up I will definately bring it along.

Daltan, Barb and myself headed up the trail on a 4 hour trail ride and had a great day. The coolest thing about the ride is not just the scenery, the peacefulness of being on your horse in beautiful country, but the fact that their mini horse “Moon” just tags along for the ride. He follows along on the trail like a loyal pup and has THE GREATEST personality ever!

If you want a guided horseback excursion in some of the most beautiful country then checkout The StillWaterRanch, and have the Dalton Gang treat you to a memorable afternoon on the trails!

When we got back to Rickani Ranch I snapped a few quick photos of the herd. I think Indy really took a liking to Hondo.

Gotta remember the camera next time for sure!

First day of good weather, it was warm and dry and we thought a six mile hike would be perfect!

We packed up the kids and off we went!

Bas Gets a Sister and New Ears

We have been taking Bas for training at the vonWAlhberg facility in Snohomish for a couple of sessions when Phil broke the news to us that his ears were not going to come up on their own, so we panicked, then we phoned Sally Haney.

Sally is the breeder we purchased Bas from 5 months ago. She told us that she had a fix that would help, she also informed us that she had Bas sister from the same litter for sale and if we knew anyone that would want a great dog to pass on the word. Well we thought of Bas of course!

So this past Tuesday we took the long 3 hour drive up to Morton and got Bas a playmate and hopefully a new set of ears. Below are some pics from yesterday. The rain finally stopped for a few hours and the kids had a great time playing out front.
