Hike with Nikon D2X

I headed out a few hours ago to walk the trails around the property with the Nikon D2x, my 60mm macro, 28mm and 55-300mm. Before I get to the pictures I have to say the more I use this camera the better it feels. The weight around my neck is not an issue. I had my lowepro waist hiker on with the lenses and the D2x around my neck; as you may know I have had neck issues, still do and I felt comfortable walking around with it for a couple hours.

With the 55-300mm this sucka gets beefy! But I like it :)

I shot in jpeg mode, using mainly manual, occasionally switching to aperture priority and program just to compare samples.

When I did my research on the D2x there were lots of complaints about the size of the monitor. I have been using a D90 for about 4 years now and I have no issues going back to a smaller monitor.

I love the painterly effect the bokeh has in the private property sign image; also, nothing special with the processing on these, just tonal contrast and darken/lighten with nik software.

Okay enough about all that stuff here are some pics…enjoy Bellas!
