Mud Free Horses

So this week weather man is predicting the cold is a coming, so I decided it was time to have a grooming day with all four horses. Usually I’ll have them blanketed by now but they haired up so fast this year, then the temps just never dropped enough to warrant putting them on.

Since I got a break from the rain and they were all dry enough I brushed, shop vac…actually using the air blower end to remove all the hard to brush out dust, and blanketed them in their clean, repaired blankets.

I’ve had them all turned out together a couple years ago and their blankets took a beating so I thought after I had them all groomed and suited it would be great to get a shot of them looking sporty

This is the 2nd year of blanket cleaning, repairs we’ve had done with Hoofbeats Blankets and we can not be happier with how “like new” our blankets are returned to us!

Oh yeah and totally unrelated to horses, cute yorkie pic of the day!

Whisky

Just finished cleaning up the office and decided to grab the camera since this shot was just perfectly in my line of site. Taken with Nikon D2H and Nikkor AF-S 35mm, gotta have the Whisky on hand for company!

Sultan Drive

A couple quick test shots from the car with the D2H. I know this is a beast of a camera but I absolutely love walking around with it mounted with my 28mm lens. Today on my run around town I snapped a couple shots while driving by some favorite sights on my way back home.

I find the more I use this camera the more I love it. It’s almost like it adapts to my style which makes the learning even more fun…

I popped these images in Photoshop and messed around a bit just to see how much I can play with the raw files and liked the look I came up with for these.
