Ani Trone Photography

Okay so today was awesome. In a nutshell I got to work with Cimarron, my Spanish Mustang, we rode for an hour in the round pen working on transitions and flexing then went for a walk on our trails around the property. Indy was watching intentlyas I worked with Cimarron; so after Cimarron and I were through, I decided to bring her in the barn and saddle her for the first time in a year since her unexplained/undiagnosed injury. She was calm, quiet and once I got her in the round pen she was so responsive and she seemed so willing…I teared up at just being able to ride again…a year ago all the vets told me that she would never be the same again and they all gave me the look that I should put her down but needless to say I stuck with my gut and she is walking again without any hint of her peculiar injury.

I brought along my camera just because the day was so beautiful, below are some shots I took from the day!

Today I went to catch a couple Standardbreds for the Stillwater Ranch so Doc Hansen could get there vaccinations and coggins tests completed and while waiting for the good Doc to arrive I snapped a couple quick shots…it was the middle of the afternoon and right after a big rain so the flies were out and the light was just not right. Well I was only able to snap a quick few and these are some favorites of the day!

I was taking updated shots for the vet today and snapped a nice little accident of Cimarron. It was way overexposed but something about it I liked so I brought it into photoshop and messed around a little and came up with this…

I really liked how it turned out, his eyes are always so expressive.

Looks like the rain’s gonna start coming down here is good old Sultan so I wanted to go for one last trail ride with Rain before the storm hit and sure enough 5 minutes after getting home it came down. I’m glad I decided to take the Flip with me on this ride. I made a short little video with my new Flip UltraHD Camcorder, 120 Minutes (Black), I was surprised how well the video turned out because we were walking on some rocky trails and I shot it handheld the entire way.

The music is pretty cool, the rhythm fits Rain perfectly.

Headed up for a drive to the lookout spot where we have an awesome view of our beautiful little town of Sultan and beyond. Devin, Rick’s older brother  and the pooches came along for the ride. It was nice to have such a beautiful day after the downpour yesterday brought.

After living through today’s weather of rain, wind and temperatuers dropping below 60 degrees, I couldnt believe it was just yesterday we were in the river cooling off from 90 degree weather. Rick set off on the float tube and Tuki decided to hop on his back for a ride. I cant believe how brave this little guy is, 3.5lbs and fearless!

Havent posted anything in a long time, I actually havent even used my camera in a while. I think I am going through a phase of no motivation/lack inspiration; hopefully I’ll get over this soon. Besides between all the visitors and home projects Rick and I have taken on it is a wonder I have time to breathe.

Well for now I will share this image of my lil buddy Cimarron, he hasnt been feeling well for the past 8 weeks; he has some weird condition that was unexplained until the other night after the cultures returned from the lab. Now that he is on the mend and Indy as well it looks like I will have more time to be “photographer Ani” and less time being “nurse Ani”.

Taken with my Nikon D90 and processed in Photoshop CS5 using some filters and my imagination to bring out the light etc.
