Horseshoeing

We had a horseshoeing party yesterday. Dan and Lori pulled and trimmed all the Stillwater Ranch horses yesterday minus the “uncatchable” Wendy. I told Barb it is now my mission to make her my friend and catch her!

Here are some of the pics I took yesterday, I wanted these to have an old photo look to them. I really liked how they turned out.

Stillwater Ranch Horses

I started my official first day as wrangler with Stillwater Ranch today; although I have been tagging along all summer long today was the actual first day as the real deal!

Here are sone quick snaps I took as we got to the field were all the horses are kept. Wish I wasnt busy grabbing horses and could have taken more of them running and bucking and trying to get away, oh well maybe next time!

I brought this photo into photoshop and applied a couple filters and really liked how it turned out. From the bend in Bernie’s neck to the gentle way the rider is holding the reins…one of my favorites for sure.

Pa, Ponies & Photoshop

The following pictures were taken yesterday during and after our ride up the mountain. We ran into Pa & Chris, my good friends and neighbors.

And this photo was taken after our ride of the Stillwater Ranch ponies!

I brought both pictures out of Lightroom and into Photoshop and dodged, burned, blurred and applied the tonal contrast filter from Nik Effects; it was sorta cloudy and overcast so I think this really brings out the subjects in each photo.

The Dalton Gang!

These were from Saturday afternoon. I had just returned from my ride with the Dalton Gang up the mountain.

This time I brought Rainy along for the ride, he was such a trooper and good boy, minus a little flirting with a mare got him into a bit of trouble ;P

The ride went flawless as usual and then afterwards Bill from WWTraining brought over Dalton and Barb’s Blue Roan over, he is in training to pull the buggy.
