To say the last 10 days have been a test is saying quite a bit! What started off as a nagging ache turned into emergency appendectomy. After three days of putting up with my discomfort I finally gave in to going to the hospital after a dream telling me I was going to die.
It turned out not only did I have a gangrenous appendix, it was abnormally large and there was the appearance of a small leak.
The long walk to recovery
Luckily for me the triage team was quick to get me into surgery. The unfortunate circumstance after I was released however was a reaction to the antibiotics that landed me back in the emergency room for another 36 hour stay in the hospital.
The good news is I’m back home and on the mend and as I build my strength back and regain the 10lbs I’ve lost I cant wait to get out riding, shooting pics and enjoying hikes.
In my walks around the hallway to build my strength I was able to take some cell phone pics. Its amazing even in pain as a lover of photography there is always time to create.
