No Más…A bit of ˌintrəˈspekSH(ə)n/

You know you need to get out and find new inspirations when the yorkie is shunning the camera…

Alas, I still love this picture although it is a good reminder to find inspirations in new things, places and people!

The video below from Joel Meyerowitz puts a lot in perspective as a photographer and our responsibility to conveying the story to the viewer.

I’ll admit that sometimes I’m lazy in the whole process of creating images because the life I chose is one of seclusion and long days working to make a living. So at the end of the day inspiration and creativity comes from the usual suspects…my surroundings, my animals, my husband and the things I see on a daily basis. I find joy and moments that I want to cherish, so I click the shutter.

I do aspire to see more and create more in order to grow and this year I am finding it more of a driving force behind my research of new techniques, the books I’m reading and the exploration of different types of styles to cultivate my own.

Most of this yearning too I believe comes from my recent appendectomy and the allergic reaction to the antibiotics that landed me back in the hospital…it made me realize just how quickly things in life can change and just how fragile we are as human beings…

This feeling also carries over to the way I feel about my horsemanship and the bond I want to continue to develop with my horses and even with my relationship with my husband. Its an overwhelming yearning to take it all in and cherish it because sometimes life just doesn’t wait for you to decide…
