This past Monday, the hubby and I drove the four hours plus 30 minute ferry ride to fish Neah Bay. We met up with our friends Bill and Judy at the Snow Creek Resort.
Now Snow Creek Resort is a fancy word for RV parking with fishing access. But don’t let that stop you from ever staying and enjoying the view.
We parked in stall 2 which gave us a total beach front view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca which lent for a beautiful scene of fishing boats and neighboring Canada.
If you’ve never heard of Neah Bay then let me be the first to invite to a quaint little piece of Heaven on Earth. Neah Bay is on the Makah Reservation in Clallam County, Washington and lies across from the Canadian border of British Columbia. Plenty of ocean views and nearby hiking to Shi Shi Beach Trail in the Olympic Peninsula. I’ve added a link to Shi Shi Beach only because we hiked the 1.7 mile trail down to the start of the beach trail descent but because Tuki came along for the hike we weren’t permitted to bring him on the beach. We were totally bummed!
Anyways, on our trip we fished for Sea Bass, Lingcod and other Rockfish and we brought home a freezer full in the camper. I wont go on about our trip much more in words since I have a ton of pics to share…which will pretty much sum up just how beautiful the past few days earlier this week truly were.
