Rick woke up on Wednesday morning and came into my office and said, “We’re going to Seattle for the day, we’re going to have lunch and head up top the Space Needle!”
This is a big deal for me because for 11 years I’ve been trying to convince him that he should view the city from the Needle. But his antipathy for tall buildings has dissuaded him for all those many years of me asking.
Needless to say I was giddy…I love Seattle. I think its a beautiful city full of diverse culture and the aesthetics and history of it have always held a place in my heart since the early 90’s when I moved there to attend school for audio/video production.
We had a great time roaming around the city, viewing Seattle from 520ft, with Mt. Rainier very visible and lunch at Elliott’s Oyster House. We even stopped in at the EPM Museum for a tour of the Nirvana and Jimi Hendrix exhibitions.
